How to configure Ubuntu Wireless on Latitude D410?

I have the “kubuntu” version of Ubuntu. My Dell wireless 1370 mini pci card is detected and is able to scan networks and discover them, but is unable to connect. I type in my WPA passkey into the network-manager GUI but it fails to connect. Nothing happens. What could be causing this and how could i fix it?
Thanks in advance!
