How do you add a custom screen resolution in Ubuntu 9.04?
By Administrator on Sep 29, 2010 in Ubuntu Support
I am working Ubuntu 9.04 on my iBook G3 plus it works perfectly, except how the max display screen resolution permitted by Ubuntu is 800×600. My iBook’s native resolution is 1024×768. How can I add 1024×768 to the available resolutions?

You should seriously update to 10.04. It will solve a lot of problems. It is a bit of a pain to find in PowerPC on their website, but here it is.

Trust me, it solves a lot of problems, and the graphics drivers are much NEWER and FASTER.
